Fresh produce, straight from the farmer.
FarmerClips is a marketplace app where farmers post short videos of the vegetables, fruit, grains and other produce they grow, and customers buy directly from them. No middlemen, so farmers earn more and customers know exactly where their food comes from. Available in Telugu, Hindi and English.
The Android and iPhone apps are in testing with a small group of users and will be available on Google Play and the App Store soon.
How it works
1. Farmers post clips
A farmer records a short video of their produce and lists it with a price and the quantity available.
2. Customers watch and choose
Customers scroll a feed of clips from nearby farms, ask the farmer questions in the in-app chat, and pick what they want.
3. Order and pay
Customers place an order in the app and pay online by UPI, card or net banking, or pay cash on delivery where the farmer offers it.
4. Delivery or pickup
The farmer delivers the order or the customer picks it up, as agreed in the app. The customer confirms when they receive it.
Pricing
- Customers pay the price the farmer lists for each product, in Indian rupees, plus a delivery charge if the farmer sets one. The full amount is shown before you pay. Signing up and using the app is free.
- Farmers list and sell for free. On each completed order, FarmerClips keeps a 2.5% platform fee and the rest goes to the farmer.
- Online payments are processed securely by Razorpay. If an order paid in the app is cancelled, or never arrives, the customer gets a refund to their original payment method. See our refund policy.
